¿How to get to Santander?
By Road: from Madrid there is access via highway A-67. From Asturias and the Vasc Country via highway A-8.
By Bus: Santander bus station is located in the St. “Navas de Tolosa”, very close to FEVE (local trains) and RENFE (national trains) train stations. There are links with various cities: Bilbao, San Sebastian, Asturias, Galicia, Madrid, Barcelona and diverse towns in Castilla and León.
By Air: Santander airport is located 5km from the city centre, in Avda. Parayas. Many companies operate at this international airport connecting Santander with different parts of the world. To enquire about air links: Aeropuerto de Santander. There is a bus line from the airport to the bus station, situated in the city centre. It operates every day of the week, from 6 am to 11 pm, and runs every half an hour. The bus stop is next to the “arrivals” airport door. The journey lasts 15 minutes. The journey finishes at the bus station, very close to the Centre.
By Train: RENFE and FEVE stations are situated next to eachother, at the Station’s square in Santander’s city centre. FEVE links Santander with Asturias (Oviedo) and Vasc Country (Bilbao). RENFE has longer routes to the main capitals of the different counties: Madrid, Cordova, Valladolid, Palencia, Avila and Alicante.
